Free Eye Check-up, Spectacle Distribution & Cataract Operation Camp by Nishkam Sewa Samiti, Pitampura

 

On Sunday, September 28, 2025, Nishkam Sewa Samiti, Pitampura, in association with MojiRam Lions Eye Hospital, successfully organized a Free Eye Check-up, Spectacle Distribution & Cataract Operation Camp, at Shiv Mandir, CD Block, Pitampura, Delhi – 110034.

The camp received an enthusiastic response, with more than 95 community members availing themselves of comprehensive eye care and general health services.

This initiative reflected the shared vision of both organizations to make quality healthcare accessible and to promote community well-being through preventive and curative health programs.

Key Highlights:

• 64 Refraction Tests Conducted: Vision screening and corrective prescriptions provided.

• 03 Retinopathy Cases Identified: Patients guided for advanced ophthalmic care.

• 80 Eye Drop Vials Distributed: To treat and prevent common eye ailments.

• 37+ Blood Pressure & Sugar Tests Performed: Creating awareness of systemic health factors affecting vision.

• 19 Cataract Cases Referred: Patients referred to MojiRam Lions Eye Hospital for free cataract surgeries.

• 52 Spectacles Distributed: Supporting individuals requiring vision correction.

In addition to eye examinations, the camp also provided free blood pressure and sugar testing, underscoring the importance of holistic wellness and the connection between general health and eye health.
