Free Eye Check-up, Free Eye Glasses & Cataract Referral for Free Surgeries Camp

On Sunday, December 28, Lions Club Delhi Naya Bazar, in association with MojiRam Lions Eye Hospital, successfully conducted a Free Eye Check-up, free distribution of eye glasses and Cataract Referral Camp at Lala Nandimal Dharamshala, 2022 Railway Road, Narela, Delhi.

The camp stood out as a significant humanitarian initiative, delivering comprehensive eye-care and preventive health services to the local community. Services included Dry Eye evaluation, Diabetic Retinopathy screening, free distribution of eye glasses, along with blood pressure and blood sugar testing, reflecting the club’s holistic approach to community health.

The initiative witnessed an overwhelming response, with 131 beneficiaries receiving vital vision and health care support. The scale and effectiveness of the camp highlighted the dedicated efforts of Lions Club Delhi Naya Bazar in making quality eye care accessible to the underprivileged.

Key Achievements of the Camp

• 55 Refraction Tests conducted to assess vision and prescribe corrective lenses
• 20 Diabetic Retinopathy cases identified and referred for specialized treatment
• 205 Eye Drop vials distributed for common eye conditions
• 100 Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar tests carried out to promote preventive health awareness
• 111 Free Eye Glasses distributed to needy patients
• 78 Cataract patients identified and referred for free cataract surgery at MojiRam Lions Eye Hospital

This impactful camp strongly reflected the “Sight First” mission of the Lions movement. Through such initiatives, Lions Club Delhi Naya Bazar, in partnership with MojiRam Lions Eye Hospital, continues to play a pivotal role in preventing avoidable blindness and enhancing community well-being.
