Vision Screening camp at GGSSS Avantika, by Lions Club Kohinoor
On August 13, 2025, a Comprehensive Eye Screening Camp was successfully organized at Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Avantika, Sector-1, Rohini, Delhi. The initiative was a collaborative effort of Lions Club Kohinoor in partnership with MojiRam Lions Eye Hospital, aimed at promoting eye health among students and staff.
The camp, held from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM, witnessed enthusiastic participation from the school community. A total of 860 individuals, including students, teachers, and staff members, underwent vision screenings.
Key highlights of the camp included
- 168 refractions were conducted for accurate vision assessment and prescription.
- 60 vials of eye drops distributed to address minor eye ailments.
- 9 cataract cases were identified and referred to MojiRam Lions Eye Hospital for further specialized treatment.
This impactful initiative reflects the Lions Club’s commitment to preventive healthcare and its continuous efforts toward creating a healthier society through service, care, and compassion.
