International Director Lion Debbie Dawson Visits MojiRam Lions Eye Hospital
On October 5, 2025, MojiRam Lions Eye Hospital had the honour of welcoming Lion Debbie Dawson, International Director of Lions Clubs International (District 25–27). She was accompanied by Er. R. N. Gupta, Second Vice District Governor (SVDG), and Past District Governor (PDG) Lion Gurcharan K. Ghai.
During her visit, Lion Dawson interacted warmly with the hospital’s officials, doctors, and staff members. She was given a guided tour of all major departments, including the outpatient, diagnostic, operation theatre, and recovery wards. The International Director showed deep interest in understanding the hospital’s operations and the use of state-of-the-art ophthalmic instruments and surgical technologies employed in the treatment of various eye ailments.
Lion Dawson also took time to meet patients who were preparing for surgery as well as those who had already undergone successful cataract and other eye operations. She listened to their experiences and expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the hospital team’s compassion and professionalism.
Impressed by the high standards of care and the hospital’s dedication to serving the underprivileged, Lion Dawson commended the MojiRam Lions Eye Hospital for its remarkable contribution to community eye health. She particularly appreciated the hospital’s vision of providing free or subsidized eye surgeries to economically weaker sections, ensuring that no one is deprived of quality eye care due to financial constraints.
