Free Eye Check-up and Cataract Surgery, by Lions Club Naya Bazar
On Sunday, November 9, the Lions Club Delhi Naya Bazar, in collaboration with MojiRam Lions Eye Hospital, successfully organized a Free Eye Check-up and Cataract Referral Camp at Shiv Mandir Dharamshala, Yadav Nagar, Near Railway Station, Samaypur Badli, Delhi – 110042.
The camp provided a wide range of comprehensive eye care and general health services, including Dry Eye evaluation, Diabetic Retinopathy screening, and blood pressure and blood sugar testing, aimed at promoting holistic health awareness.
The initiative received an overwhelming response, benefiting 237 individuals with essential vision and health services. The joint effort reinforced the shared mission of both organizations—to ensure accessible and quality eye care for all, especially for the underprivileged.
Key Highlights of the Camp
· 186 Refraction Tests – Conducted for vision correction and prescription glasses.
· 06 Retinopathy Cases Identified – Referred for specialized follow-up care.
· 200 Eye Drop Vials Distributed – For treatment of common eye conditions.
· 50 Blood Pressure & Sugar Tests – To promote overall health awareness.
· 35 Cataract Referrals – Patients identified and referred for free cataract surgery at MojiRam Lions Eye Hospital.
· 175 Free Spectacles Distributed – To eligible beneficiaries.
