On Thursday, November 27, Lions Club Delhi Naya Bazar, in collaboration with MojiRam Lions Eye Hospital & IDHS, NPCBI&V Gulabi Bagh Delhi, successfully organized a Free Eye Check-up and Cataract Referral Camp at Delhi Government Dispensary (DGD) B-Block, Jahangir Puri, Delhi.
The camp offered a range of comprehensive eye health services, including Dry Eye evaluation, Diabetic Retinopathy screening, along with blood pressure and blood sugar testing to promote overall health awareness.
The initiative received an overwhelming response, with 210 beneficiaries availing themselves of essential vision care services. This impactful outreach underscored the shared mission of both organizations to make quality eye care accessible to all.
Key Highlights of the Camp:
• 156 Refraction Tests – Conducted for vision correction and prescription glasses.
• 09 Retinopathy Cases Identified – Referred for further specialized care.
• 175 Eye Drop Vials Distributed – For the treatment of common eye ailments.
• 70 Blood Pressure & Sugar Tests – Conducted to enhance systemic health awareness.
• 34 Cataract Referrals – Eligible patients referred for free cataract surgery at MojiRam Lions Eye Hospital.
The camp exemplified the spirit of “Sight First”—a continuing commitment of the Lions club Delhi Naya Bazar fraternity and MojiRam Lions Eye Hospital towards eradicating preventable blindness and improving community health.
