Free Eye Screening & Cataract Surgery Camp by New G9 Jansewa Foundation
On Sunday, December 7, the G9 Jansewa Foundation, in collaboration with MojiRam Lions Eye Hospital, successfully organized a Free Eye Check-up and Cataract Referral Camp at Samudiyak Kendra, Haryana Avas Pariser, Opp AP Block, Shalimar Bagh Delhi.
The camp provided comprehensive eye screenings, including Dry Eye evaluation, Diabetic Retinopathy detection (using Fundus Camera), and Glaucoma screening, along with blood pressure and sugar level checks to promote overall health awareness.
The initiative received an overwhelming response, with 190 beneficiaries availing themselves of essential healthcare services. The event highlighted the shared mission of both organizations to make quality and affordable eye care accessible to all.
Key Highlights of the Camp:
- 149 Refraction Tests – Conducted for accurate vision assessment and prescription glasses.
- 7 Retinopathy Cases Identified – Referred for further specialized treatment.
- 155 Eye Drop Vials Distributed – For managing common eye ailments.
- 34 Blood Pressure & Sugar Tests – Conducted to encourage systemic health monitoring.
- 21 Cataract Referrals – Eligible patients referred for free cataract surgery at MojiRam Lions Eye Hospital.
This meaningful initiative under the Sight First program reflects the continued commitment of the G9 Jansewa Foundation and MojiRam Lions Eye Hospital toward eradicating preventable blindness and fostering community well-being through service and compassion.
